A few weeks ago we stayed at my friend & co worker's cabin in Lake Arrowhead. We've been talking about it for a long time but finally got it on the calendar!
We left on a Friday, but later than we had planned. We sat through some traffic, then decided to get dinner on our own before heading up the mountain. By the time we got on the twisty mountain roads Ethan's queasy stomach started acting up. We got something for him to barf in, and sure enough he did. He doesn't do well with windy roads or looking down while we're driving for a while. He definitely gets car sick! :(
This is a picture of Ethan and Eric looking over the city when we were only 20 minutes away from the house but he needed some fresh air. Poor guy!
The rest of the trip consisted of breakfast at home, then being on the boat all day. Heading into town to grab lunch then eating it on the boat. Eric water ski'd (I was impressed with his skills after all these years) and Andrea wake boarded. Ethan and their daughter Svea did the "trainer ski" and Ethan even stood for a long time but then fell into the water. He was impressed with himself that he kept his sunglasses on despite the fall!
We headed into Lollipop Park and did some Go Kart racing (even Chase and I did it!), and a few other rides.
One of the beach clubs had a bouncy house and face painting setup!
We stayed up drinking and playing games after the kids went down. What a special place Lake Arrowhead is!
