Chase is 1 3/4!

Our sweet little Chasey boy is 1 and 3/4 years old.  It's kind of a silly milestone but they change so much at this age, that it's fun to document!

I don't know his stats but here are a few things about this little guy

-He wears size 6 diapers

-He wears size 2T clothes and 7 1/2 shoes

-He has 14 teeth and 1 more is close to popping through

-Chase goes to bed around 7 or 7:30pm and wakes at 7am (thank you time change!).  He takes a 2-3 hour nap starting anywhere from 11:30-12

-His vocabulary is expanding.  He attempts to say almost everything you ask of him now.  My favorites lately are "Oh no" (with his arms out!), "Hiiiiya" (think karate chop),

"Whoa!", "Hot" (with a mouth blow to cool it down) or "Cold" and a "brrrrr" & "Oh Toodles".  He probably has 3 dozen words that he uses regularly but can say more if prompted.  He uses sign language a lot for 'more' and 'all done'. 

-He loves making animal noises, and loves Moo, Baa, and Woof woof best.  He also LOVES making an airplane movement with his hand any time he hears an airplane in the sky.  His ears work perfectly...that's for sure!  He also loves revving his throat like a motorcycle when he hears one. 

-I am in love with his exaggerated head nod for yes.  His little head goes all the way back and all the way forward a few times to motion 'yes'.  He does something similar for 'No', but not quite as dramatic.  Although he does say "no no no" with his pointer finger pointed out thanks to the No No Yes Yes book. 

 

-Ethan and Chase have a, let's say, blossoming relationship.  They love each other dearly, but drive each other crazy too.  Ethan is always taking something from Chase, or vice versa.  Regardless, my heart melts watching them play.  I love that they will have each other forever!

-This child is an outside boy.  If he could be outside all day and night, he would.  If you even go to the garage to get something, he thinks you're going outside and wants to come.  He gets his helmet and Crocs on with excitement.  He loves the Strider bike and the "spinny bike" as we call it.

-Chase is a little lover.  He is the sweetest!  He really shows his affection when it's time for bed, giving an open mouth kiss to Ethan, Daddy, and myself.  He absolutely loves his blanky (and his paci which he usually only gets in the crib).  If he is tired and you pick him up with his blanky, he immediately rests his head down on your shoulder.  Even if you're standing around, he'll come up and hug your leg, or back from behind if you're squatting down.  He is adorable!  

-He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  And he REALLY loves the Hot Dog Dance at the end.  He'll be in the other room, and will run over and sway back and forth to it. 

-Chase hates Thursday trash day.  He really doesn't like it, but when we're inside the house and he hears it come through he does a hilarious fake whine/cry.  It's so funny.
