Pray for this baby girl. She is 9 months old and I can't get my mind off of her. Angelina is my friend Amy and Dominic's little girl who has a cancerous tumor wrapped around her spinal cord.
She had surgery today and they were able to remove a good amount of the tumor, as well as some of the lamina (bone) surrounding it. The tumor was compressing her spinal cord so much, that she was only able to use 5%. The amount that they were able to remove was enough to relieve the compression on her spinal cord. The surgeon believes that she should quickly regain the movement/strength in the lower part of her body. The surgeon said that she did so well, he doesn't feel that it is even necessary for her to be in the PICU, this is incredible news! (from her Caring Bridge site).
