On Monday, our nanny had a Dr appointment in the afternoon so I took Chase with me to Ethan's school. He loves running around in there!
Since Eric had dinner with his friend that night, I decided to take the boys to Chic-Fil-A for dinner. Much to our surprise it was Superhero night! I felt terrible that I had nothing superhero for Ethan to wear. Especially because there were tons of kids there who obviously knew about it and came decked out! Ethan expeditiously took to coloring about 5 masks and superhero finger puppets.
They even had a Spiderman there, and the Chic-Fil-A cow with a cape on.
Ethan was stoked to take a picture with Spiderman.
But between that HUGE cow and Spiderman, Chase was NOT happy. He cried and wanted to get out of his high chair and into my lap immediately. It was sad but kind of funny.
This was his first encounter with Spiderman so no wonder he got so freaked out.
Ethan of course had an accident while we were there so I put Chase back in the stroller, got new clothes for Ethan out of the car, took him to the bathroom and changed him. It was a nice getaway for Chase. We still had ice cream to eat (did you know you can get free ice cream cones for each kids meal toy you turn back into them?) They had sundae toppings that you could use so we decided to eat the cones outside and listen to the kids 'band' they had setup. It was super cute!
Every time Chase saw the cow or Spiderman he'd freak so as you can see he had his emergency paci to keep him satisfied. I would have stayed later if it hadn't been for Mr. Chasey but he was not feeling it. Ethan did not want to leave :(
They apparently have an event every month! What a happy accident this was for us!
