Eric and I caught this the other night and it was an amazing story!
The basic story is...some tire shops will sell you "never worn" tires with "good tread", but they are really manufactured some time ago. Even if a tire has 0 miles driven on it...if it is 6 or 7 years old...it is no good!
There is a cryptic code...at the end of the string, there are numbers. ie 419 will mean the 41st week in 1999. 2206 will mean the 22nd week of 2006.
Watch this video and check your tires! Also, remember this when it is time to buy new tires!
